Commissioned Paintings

If you want a specific painting or a portrait of a loved one, I am currently accepting commissions. I look forward to using my own style along with your vision to create a painting you will enjoy.

These are some of the questions I will be asking you about a commissioned painting:

1. What/who will the painting be of?
2. How big of a painting are you wanting?
3. What is the desired setting? (indoor, outdoor, formal, casual, etc.)
4. When do you need it finished?

I will work closely with you starting with an in-depth conversation about your expectations via email or phone.

Pricing varies depending on what you are asking. I am happy to talk with you about your idea and give you a price quote. A rough estimate of the time it takes to create a painting is 2-4 months. I generally paint in layers and oil paint takes time to dry between each stage. Depending on the project, I can alter my technique.

I will provide a mock-up of the intended composition for your approval. Once everything is decided upon, I will send a contract via email and require 50% deposit before I start the painting.
